Setting the world ablaze like never before, the German Synth Rock project centred around the musical mastermind of Jan Weisbrod presents the long awaited album PUSH THE FIRE. With its brilliant mixture of styles like Industrial Punk, Electro, Ambient and Alternative Rock, the album is unique and shows you with songs like Ratrace, One Way World or Heut Nacht that the band has constantly developed further. Brachial electronics, Jan’s various vocals as well as the fireworks of Nook’s passionate drumming and Felix’s powerful guitars – that is how the eleven songs win with aesthetics of sounds as never heard before by HEAVY-CURRENT.
Since 1999 a steadily growing fan base has accompanied HEAVY-CURRENT’s transition over four studio albums and through worlds of music that appeal to fans of several genres. Although the origins were mainly electronic, you could already feel by the use of sounds a great longing for experimental, especially rock elements. Since 2004 the teamwork with Nook and Felix made HEAVY-CURRENT a determined and creative band, which first with EDACIOUS and now with PUSH THE FIRE will “burn itself” into your auditory canals.
That HEAVY-CURRENT know how to blow your mind on stage has already got around, as the last tour and engagements with great bands like Apoptygma Bezerk, Agonoize or Covenant have shown.
