It has just begun.

After her debut album ‘Therapie’, the one-woman-electroproject EISSCHOCK is back with the web-e.p. ‘Play The Game’.
The title track ‘Play The Game’ is not only featured as an audiotrack but as a video as well. Have a look! EISSCHOCK encourages you to ‘Play The Game’.
It seems that ‘the game’ means the ‘game of life’ for the tracks ‘Hass Mich (hate me)’, ‘Pictures Of The Past’, ‘Platitudes’ and ‘Far Far Away’
and their lyrics obviously cover many aspects of life. ‘Pictures Of The Past’ for example deals with unpleasant haunting memories which don’t let you find peace. All is wrapped in an emotionally moving synthpop melody and samples of children’s voices. In contrast to this the artist’s vocals show you the pain of the experiences.
‘Platitudes’ is a synthpop style song which is full of ironic hints on common phrases.
In sharp and provoking contrast to the other songs stands ‘Hass Mich (hate me)’ that settles with a failed relationship. The defying vocals are matching the firing EBM beats perfectly.
The one who seeks silence and relaxation after that will be satisfied with the final track ‘Far Far Away’.

‘Play The Game’ serves the dancing crowd and the intellectual listeners as well. The combination of supposed contrasts and contradictions is enforced by EISSCHOCK’s imposing feminine aura. So isn’t it a pleasure to ‘Play The Game’?
